With this technical support document, you may be able to solve some problems that may be affecting your game. Follow all the steps!
First basic steps:
-Ensure that you have a steady connection to the internet.
-Ensure that the steam app is open and your account is connected.
-Is your account banned? That may block your access to the game temporarily.
-There may have been an update. Uninstall and reinstall the game.
Check the change log. If you can't log in after an update and you could before, please contact and admin on steam or discord.
-On rare occasions we noticed that there might be some errors concerning the Windows version. Changing compatibility mode to Windows 8 should fix it definitely.
Activating compatibility mode:
Step 1: Go to the steam game library, in the top left corner of steam, click with the right mouse button on World of Soccer, and go to “Manage” -- “Browse local files”.
Step 2: Click with the right mouse button on World of Soccer.exe and open “properties”.
Step 3: On the compatibility tab, activate “Run this program in compatibility for” and choose “Windows 8”.
-You can change the quality settings in-game to make it run more smoothly in your PC. Some times it might help with problems concerning flashing screens or other visual errors.
-Try changing the resolution to fastest, beautiful or good, as one of them could fix the problem.
-Another option might be swapping the window size on settings in-game. Smaller window sizes occasionally might work better.
-Try playing in full screen and without it, but pressing ALT+ENTER, as it can also improve some lag issues.
Maybe your Firewall is blocking World of Soccer? Disabling Windows Firewall:
Step 1: Type “Firewall” at the Windows 8 Start screen, click “Settings” and select “Windows Firewall” from the search results.
Step 2: Click “Turn Windows Firewall On or Off” from the left panel.
Step 3: Click “Turn Off Windows Firewall (Not Recommended)” in the Private Network Settings section and click “OK.”
Try the game. If it works, you don’t need to continue. If it still doesn’t work, repeat the procedure, but also click “Turn Off Windows Firewall (Not Recommended)” in the Public Network Settings section.
Creating an exception on Firewall:
Step 1: Type “Firewall” at the Windows 8 Start screen, click “Settings” and select “Allow an App through Windows Firewall” from the search results.
Step 2: Click “Change Settings” from the Allowed Applications window.
Step 3: Check the box to the left of your listed game to enable the exception. If you can’t find your program, click “Allow Another App” and double-click the game in the "Add an App" list.
Step 4: Check both boxes to the right of your game to enable the program to communicate through public or private networks.
Game requirement should not be an issue since it should be about 60MB.
You can talk directly with an admin who will be available for you easily on discord, steam, or any social media account.
-If the in-game settings don’t fix it, then we recommend you try to join the game using a different screen as sometimes, some screens have certain limitations.
-If you have another PC available, that could also help. If the game runs fine in the other PC, it will be easier to detect the problem.
We hope this solves any problems you may encounter!
